PlayStation Vita operating impressions and FAQs
We gave our impression that the PlayStation Vita. We love. A lot. But hardware is useless without a great software in order to allow the operating system and programs today Vita in this collection of FAQs.
Once again, we took most of these questions directly from readers of Destructoid. If you have more questions about the operating system Vita, the user interface and software, let us know in the comments section. We will respond and add to this article as soon as possible.
impressions on the game are also very soon, I promise!
user interface
How is the user interface
is very simple. I was expecting something useless Sony complicated, but the user interface Vita is as simple as it sounds. There is a grid of icons for each bubble ISH applications and games installed. Drag and drop you scroll through the screens on the icon. Simply tap on an icon to run it. A page of games that Sony calls "LiveArea" pop-up and allow you to confirm that you want the application to work. On this page you will also find images that serve as tangible links with content related to the application. For example, inHot Shots Golf Application page 's, my Vita has links to online game modes, the Japanese site, online shop and more.
can customize certain aspects of the user interface. You are able to move freely around the icons to arrange them in different views, such as Apple's IOS. Each screen can be set to any number of colors, or use your own images as background.running applications are aligned from left to right, with horizontal lines that will take you to each page of the application. A low blow in the top right of the bottom left of the pages you close the application.
The user interface is simple and easy to use. I have no complaints. But you can navigate the user interface controls?
not. People seem to be really worried about it, but I would not. The touch screen works very well. It is super sensitive, and each application has been adapted to work with their hands, to actually use the driver would take longer.
Connectivity:
How can you put the contents of / to bring the contents of Vita?
including Content Manager does all the heavy lifting. Sony closed the folder drag / drop the motion that we used in the PSP, probably for security reasons. The content manager is not bad, though. Just run, Vita connect to a PS3 or a PC with the supplied cable, then use the touch screen to navigate Vita of file types available for import or export files .. I do not know why.
he managed to get more music, photos and videos from my PS3 to my Vita easily. It works exactly the same way a PC with this software. As of now there is no software for Mac usersI found it interesting that the Vita is in charge of the PS3. You will not be able to play games or navigate the menu of the PS3, while the method of content management. I also found it interesting that both the PS3 and Vita must be connected to the same PlayStation Network account to move files.
- How Remote Play?
How are system updates?
You can update via Wi-Fi, or via a connection to a PC or PS3. It's quick and easy, which is good, as I'm sure there will be many changes.
Games:
Vita PS Is it region free?
I think so. It is difficult to give a definitive answer at this time, and non-Japanese software has not yet been published.
Vita is compatible with PSP
Yes No UMD slot in the Vita, you must download games from PlayStation Store. Vita is compatible with PSOne games?
again. This will be an update. I PSOne games that are not compatible with the operating system to start the Vita Japanese.
How much space is occupied by games / demos / apps?
dimensions vary, of course, but here are some examples to give you an idea of ??what type of memory card I need.
Dazegravity demo - 476 MB
Dynasty WarriorsNext
demo - 287 MB
DigiQ fight demo - 219 MB Sawari
Makuru demo - 869 MBMinna no Golf
game files installed - 52 MB Uncharted
Abys Nowinstalled game files
s - 4224 kbLiveTweet
software - 5760 kbVita:
can browse the PS Store with controls.
No. see previous user interface. Do not worry, though. The store has been redesigned to work better with touch input. In fact, it's easier than ever to sail today, with menus and folders that allow you to navigate quickly.
Vita
Yes, and I love it. Not always need to buy another cartridge if that's what you want. Just keep in mind that you need a large memory card for this kind of future.
Can I buy PSP games?
Yes, no problem, although you can download demos as you can on the PSP. See our rarities below for more information about it.
Can you buy
PSOne games?again. Support for PSOne titles will arrive at a later date, Sony said.
What other downloadable games are supported?
far outside the compatibility PSP, PSP NeoGeo titles and PC Engine games are also supported.
Software
included:
Tell web browser does not aspire.
not suck, but not great. Call it light years beyond what Sony has done so far with laptops. However, it is very good. Flash does and is very slow. Sony is still a bit out of the speed at which we would expect to navigation on mobile devices. The pages are fast, but at the time of presentation of the site is so slow that you give up and leave your phone in place. I do not understand why all the new high-end technology under the hood of Vita can not be a better browsing experience.
Hey, at least on the touch screen works great for browsing. Oh, and the onscreen keyboard is great.can not use the browser while playing.
Sony says it is the evaluation of media content such as Flash and PDF, and will announce details at a later date At least not support Twitter, right?
