Spurned by traditional publishing, Obsidian turns to Kickstarter
The traditional publishing model has not been kind to Obsidian Entertainment. Although he managed to produce a series of titles such as Neverwinter Nights 2 and those of Fallout: New Vegas in the last decade, the study of the difficulties with publishers led to several cancellations of games, missed opportunities sequela and multiple rounds of layoffs. One of these series of layoffs came around the same time that the company based in Irvine lost Metacritic score by an objective review of Fallout: ...
