Half of Germany's adult population plays videogames
According to research done by Newzoo, half of the adult population of Germany plays videogames on a regular basis. The same applies to France and the United Kingdom, as all three countries combined have a total market of 153 million people who play on PCs, consoles, mobile platforms and on social websites like Facebook.
Germany is the main market of the EU, with a volume of ? 4600000000 (6500000000 $) and 24 million players, followed by Britain with ? 4.1 billion ($ 5.8 billion) and followed approximately 16 million players. Last but not least, 's France is a volume of ? 3200000000 (4500000000 $) and 10.4 million players. In addition, playing video games 63% of men and 54% of women now enjoy video games.
Overall, it's quite an impressive market where a lot of money can be made. Now if only someone explain to me why we 're getting so often when it comes to localization shafted! The EU gets games later in the U.S. (if ever) at regular intervals!
