postheadericon Michael Pachter declares PS Vita dead

Just before E3 press conference Sony analyst Michael "Frog Touch" Pachter predicts a practical non-presentation of the PS Vita. It was not too bad at it either. The analyst went further than that, however, declare the system dead.

"Of course, there will be the occasional game, but the market is dominated by smartphones, 3DS, Vita too hard," he told GameTrailers. "Sony will try to revitalize Vita, but it will fall flat."

Pachter also said that the desire to have the Sony PS Vita work as a complementary device to the PlayStation 4 will fail, stating that if Sony may want that, do not think it matters in advising users "just buy an additional driver" if you want multiplayer experiences, and write off the system as a "trick."

"Nobody cares about reading the Vita on a train," he said.
